Well-known designer Philippe Starck, who has fashioned everything from chairs to buildings, has been chosen by SBE Hotel Group to create a signature look and concept for a new hotel. SBE Hotel Group is a division of Los Angeles-based SBE Entertainment Group, a multifaceted enterprise whose holdings include nightclubs, movie production and real estate. In larger suites, the hotel will showcase pieces from M. Starck's Privé collection for Cassina, introduced this year at furniture fair Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.
